Globally Certified Cloth

Milk & Marrow diapers are crafted in partnership with a specialist workshop with nearly two decades of experience in cloth. Produced under internationally recognised certifications, they meet the highest global standards of safety, purity, ethics, and environmental care.

♻️ OEKO-Tex Standard 100

The global benchmark of purity.

Every fibre, thread, and fastening is tested for over 300 harmful substances. OEKO-Tex ensures that what touches your baby’s skin is proven safe, non-toxic, and gentle. It is the gold standard of textile integrity.

🏆 CPC – United States

The Children’s Product Certificate confirms compliance with America’s strict federal safety laws. It is assurance that Milk & Marrow cloth is held to the same protective measures as the world’s most trusted children’s products.

🇪🇺 CE – Europe

A mark recognised across nations.

The CE seal is Europe’s declaration of health, safety, and environmental compliance. It signifies that our cloth aligns with standards respected in more than 30 countries - a universal mark of quality.

🌍 BSCI – Business Social Compliance Initiative

Ethics woven into every seam.

BSCI certification confirms our workshop upholds fair wages, safe working conditions, and social responsibility. Choosing Milk & Marrow means choosing cloth that honours not only babies and earth, but also the dignity of those who craft it.

🔬 SGS Independent Testing

When science verifies what we promise.

SGS, the world’s leading laboratory, confirms that our nappies are free from toxins, heavy metals, and unsafe finishes, and meet global flammability standards. Independent proof that safety runs deeper than words.

This partnership was a deeply intentional choice. We understand that manufacturing in China often carries a certain stigma. Too often, production is rushed, corners are cut, and both people and planet are compromised. That is not our story. We chose this specialist workshop because of its unrivalled mastery, integrity, and sustainable practices. For nearly two decades, they have been trusted to craft for some of the world’s most premium cloth brands, their work recognised by families across continents for its safety, consistency, and care. Here, heritage runs deep. Skills are passed down through generations, refined over time, and held with the same devotion that once wove ancient textiles by hand. Their expertise is evident in every detail. Bamboo, one of cloth’s most sustainable natural fibers, is largely grown and processed in Asia, allowing production to happen close to the source. Our cloth is functional, ethical, and deeply beautiful. If we were to manufacture in South Africa, every element would need to be shipped in separately, driving up costs, customs duties, and carbon emissions before production even begins. Local factories simply don’t have the specialized machinery or decades of expertise needed for the absolute precision modern cloth demands, where even the slightest flaw in snap alignment or elastic tension can compromise fit, comfort, and longevity. This deep concentration of skill and infrastructure means less waste, lower emissions, and world-class quality that cannot be replicated anywhere else. By entrusting our production to these artisans, we honour not only babies and earth, but also the legacy of skilled hands whose work carries forward a tradition of care and connection.

This is how we bridge worlds: bringing globally certified, ethically made, premium cloth diapers into South African homes without asking families to sacrifice safety, sustainability, or beauty. This is a revolution.
