Hemp is one of the world's oldest cultivated fibres, treasured for thousands of years for its extraordinary strength, longevity, and remarkable ability to retain moisture deep within its fibres. Unlike bamboo, hemp absorbs more gradually, but what it sacrifices in speed, it more than returns in remarkable holding capacity. For this reason, it performs beautifully when layered beneath a Bamboo Cotton Insert. The bamboo quickly captures the initial rush of moisture and passes it into the hemp below, where it is securely stored deep within the fibres, creating a highly efficient absorbency system for overnight use, extended outings, and heavier wetters.

Before first use: Hemp contains naturally occurring plant oils that require washing away before reaching peak performance. Wash at least four to five times before first use. You do not need to dry between these preparation washes—simply run consecutive wash cycles using detergent each time. With every wash, the fibres bloom, becoming softer, more absorbent, and even more effective over time.
