Welcome

If this is your first introduction to cloth diapers, you're in exactly the right place.

Take your time. We'll guide you through everything.

Why choose cloth?

For the earth
A single disposable diaper can take up to 500 years to break down in landfill. One child will use thousands before potty training. Choosing reusable diapers is a simple way to reduce that waste.

For your baby
Babies spend thousands of hours in a diaper. We believe the materials closest to their skin should be thoughtfully chosen. That's why our absorbent inserts are made from natural fibres.

For your family
Cloth is one of the few baby purchases that continues to give back. Instead of buying diapers week after week, you build a reusable system that can be used for years and often for more than one child.

Fit

Our diapers are adjustable from approximately 4–18 kg. For most families, that's from just a few weeks old through to potty training.

For younger babies, use the lowest rise setting together with the crossover waist snaps for a snug newborn fit.

How many will I need?

Because of our wipeable system, most families only need:

8–10 Covers

24–30 Natural Fibre Inserts

That's significantly fewer covers than many traditional cloth diaper systems require.

Cloth isn't all or nothing. Even one cloth diaper used each day can replace well over 1,000 disposables during your baby's diapering years.

Start where you are.

Washing

Store used diapers in an airy laundry basket or open dry pail.

Never soak.

Wash every 2–3 days.

Short cold pre-wash

Long main wash at 40°C - 60°C

Line dry covers in the shade

Line dry or tumble dry inserts on low

Avoid bleach and fabric softener.

Recommended detergents

We recommend mainstream enzyme-based detergents because they clean natural fibres thoroughly and help prevent ammonia and detergent build-up.

We generally don't recommend eco detergents, as many don't clean heavily soiled natural fibres effectively, which can lead to lingering odours and absorbency issues.

Preparing your inserts

Natural fibres reach their full absorbency gradually.

Wash your cotton bamboo and hemp inserts 4–6 times before first use.

They don't need to dry between washes.

Absorbency will continue to improve over the first few weeks.

Daily rhythm

Change every 2–3 hours during the day.

Cloth isn't prescriptive. Adjust your routine to suit your child.
